Can first-year students bring a car?
Emory Transportation’s current student-parking guidance restricts residential first-year students from campus parking. Students with a qualifying exception should work through Transportation and the applicable exception process instead of bringing a car expecting to obtain a normal resident permit.
Is there late-night transportation or an escort service?
Emory Transportation publishes SafeRide as a free on-demand service operating overnight for the Emory community. The current page lists service from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., 365 days a year, within the service area. Students should have the current request method available before they need a late-night ride.
