Is a meal plan required if my student lives in an Emory residence hall?

Yes. Emory requires residential students to have an eligible dining plan; first-year residents are automatically assigned Plan A unless they make an eligible change.
Emory Dining’s 2026–27 student-plan materials state that residential students participate in a dining plan. First-year students receive Plan A for fall and spring and may change only among options for which they are eligible during the change period.
