Yes. A first-year student can mutually match with one roommate in MyHousing by the published roommate-matching deadline.
Emory’s 2026–27 first-year guide provides a roommate-matching process and June 1 deadline. Both students must complete the housing application and matching steps. A mutual request is considered in assignment, but the housing agreement does not guarantee any particular roommate.
