University of California, Santa Cruz: What happens to housing if my student withdraws, transfers, graduates or studies abroad?
DIRECT ANSWER
The student must submit a housing cancellation request; withdrawal, leave, exchange/study-abroad and similar changes do not automatically erase the housing contract.
UCSC specifically tells students whose plans change because of exchange, academic withdrawal/leave or other circumstances to cancel through the Housing Portal. Housing determines the effective release and any applicable charges under the current contract.
