Start with your work location
Your building, worksite and schedule matter more than the distance to the center of campus. Compare the full trip at the times you expect to travel.
Find your worksite using official resources →Plan your move around your start date
- Confirm your start date and the building or worksite you will use most.
- Choose your expected length of stay and whether temporary accommodation is needed.
- Set a monthly housing and transport budget, plus moving and other one-time costs.
- Compare the actual door-to-door trip at the times you expect to travel.
- Review lease dates, deposits, utilities, parking, furnishing and household requirements.
- Confirm university housing or relocation-support eligibility directly with the responsible office before counting it in your budget.
- Bring your timing, budget and work location to the correctly assigned local professional.
Plan a rental around your work and timing
- Set the move-in date, expected lease length and need for temporary or furnished housing.
- Budget rent, utilities, internet, parking, transport and move-in cash separately.
- Review lease terms, renewal timing, deposits, pets and any household requirements.
- Check the actual trip from the address to your worksite before committing.
Confirm current availability and lease terms directly. These planning steps do not verify a property or an employee housing benefit.
