Emory University: What happens at move-out, and what do we do with belongings?
DIRECT ANSWER
Students must leave by the applicable Spring 2027 deadline, remove all belongings, clean/return the space as required, and complete key/access checkout instructions; items left behind can be removed or discarded and charges can apply.
Emory’s Spring 2027 move-out page lists May 7, 2027 at noon for residents not approved for commencement housing and May 11, 2027 at 2 p.m. for approved commencement-related residents. The housing agreement requires residents to vacate after their academic obligations, remove personal property, return the room in required condition, and return keys/access items. Emory does not provide residence-hall storage for leftover belongings.
