UMD’s 2026–27 housing agreement generally requires residence-hall students to maintain an approved resident dining plan or full seven-day Hillel kosher plan, with an exception for students assigned to kitchen-equipped on-campus apartments. If no option is selected, the agreement provides for the Base Resident Dining Plan. Check the student’s assigned housing and actual plan before budgeting; a separate optional dining account should not be assumed to satisfy the resident-plan requirement.
