Under §144-6(B), qualifying apartment or hotel buildings may receive the Public Services Director's discretionary approval to inspect individual units on a staggered two-year schedule, with approximately half inspected each year; common areas, building and life-safety systems continue to require annual inspections. §144-6(C) also allows more frequent inspections after a substantiated code complaint or probable cause.
