UA's Off-Campus Resources warns that a lease's described duration, payment schedule and move-in dates may differ, so budget the full written obligation rather than only months in class. Its subletting guidance says to check whether the lease permits it and obtain written landlord approval; do not assume finding another student releases the original tenant. Ask separately about a lease takeover or release and get the continuing obligations in writing. If dates leave a gap, budget storage and temporary accommodation without assuming a future subtenant or vacancy will be available.
