UMD's 2026–27 residence-hall agreement provides eligible students a housing-space commitment under its terms, not a guarantee of a particular room, residence hall, Living-Learning Program or roommate. Resident Life says it makes efforts to honor mutual roommate requests, but those requests are not guaranteed. An unmet roommate preference does not void the Housing and Dining Agreement; the university may also change assignments under its published rules.
