UT requires roommates to complete a roommate agreement early in the year and encourages direct communication around issues such as quiet hours, guests and cleanliness. If a conflict continues, the Resident Assistant can facilitate a conversation; the matter can then be escalated to a Complex Coordinator and, when appropriate, a room-change process. A roommate conflict alone does not automatically release the housing contract.
