Yes. Students may self-select a preferred roommate or roommate group if the housing-process requirements are met.
UT Austin allows students to search for and select roommates through the housing portal after signing a contract. Students can search by details such as gender, age, college, major, UT EID and roommate-profile match. Self-selection is optional; students can also be matched by Housing.
