University of Texas at Austin: Can my student change rooms after the semester starts?

UT's Roommate Success guidance describes a room-transfer process in which a resident requests a change and a Complex Coordinator reviews it. Approved transfers still depend on available occupancy and timing; urgent situations can be addressed, but a preferred replacement room is not guaranteed. Before move-in, assigned students may also use the room-swap page through July 31.
