No refrigerator or microwave is needed; UT provides a MicroFridge and microwave, and many heat-producing appliances are prohibited.
UT provides a MicroFridge and microwave in residence-hall rooms and tells students not to bring a second refrigerator or their own microwave. Appliances with open heating coils are prohibited, including common items such as air fryers, Instant/crock pots, toasters, hot plates and electric grills. The current packing page lists permitted smaller appliances and directs students to Housing for anything unclear.
