Residence Life may fill the vacant bed or make another assignment; the remaining student is not guaranteed the room as a single.
The 2026–27 Housing Agreement gives UTampa authority over room assignments and reassignments. When a roommate leaves, the empty bed remains University inventory unless Residence Life explicitly offers another arrangement.
