Most USF halls close for the between-semester break, although designated break housing can be available under the current Housing process.
USF's Housing FAQ and policies distinguish ordinary academic-year occupancy from approved break stay. Residents generally may leave belongings in the assigned room between fall and spring if returning, but may not occupy a closed building without permission; USF publishes current break-stay options and rates for eligible locations.
