University of South Florida: Can my student have a service animal or emotional-support animal in campus housing?

Service animals and approved assistance animals can be accommodated under USF's disability process; ordinary pet rules are separate.
A qualified service animal follows applicable disability law, while an emotional-support or other assistance animal must be handled through USF's accessibility/housing approval process before the student relies on keeping it in the residence. The ordinary Housing pet exception for fish does not substitute for disability-animal approval.
