University of South Florida: What happens if my student does not receive housing or is waiting for space?

Students without a room should keep monitoring official housing communications and evaluate backup housing because USF does not guarantee an assignment.
USF uses separate new-student and continuing-student room-selection processes and does not guarantee housing. Continuing students who do not select a space may use the published standby/remaining-space process when available; families should also evaluate off-campus alternatives rather than assume campus space will open.
