University of Kansas: Which neighborhood advice does KU provide specifically for visiting employees and scholars?

DIRECT ANSWER

University guidance captured October 16, 2026. Confirm current policies, eligibility, schedules and property-specific terms with the linked source. No neighborhood score, safety conclusion or parcel-specific commute claim.

International Support Services recommends consulting the department or faculty host about Lawrence neighborhoods and looking near the actual work/study location or transit. That approach requires knowing the assigned campus destination; it does not rank a neighborhood as best or safest.
