What should parents verify before their student signs with roommates near University of Alabama?
DIRECT ANSWER
Source-qualified general guidance or institutional resources only. University aid allowances are not actual housing prices; private contract terms, present availability, property suitability and individual mortgage approval remain unverified. Guidance admission is not125-question canonical completion.
UA offers an official off-campus roommate finder and recommends that the student, rather than the parent, complete the roommate profile. Before signing near the University of Alabama, discuss schedules, communication, guests, shared expenses and expectations, and put a roommate agreement in writing. Separately verify who signs the lease, whether it is joint or individual, and what the contract says about a person leaving or being replaced. The university finder helps make connections; it is not a guarantee of compatibility, financial reliability or a private property's approval. Confirm identity and actual lease terms before paying or committing.
