Yes. A first-year student subject to the residency requirement may request an exception through CSUMB's Live-On Requirement Exception Request process.
CSUMB requires affected first-year students to submit the Live-On Requirement Exception Request to be considered for housing cancellation. Approval is not automatic and may require supporting documentation.
