If you live in university housing, you’ll need a Gold meal plan, except if you live in Vanderventer Apartments. Angelo State says all students living on campus, other than Vanderventer residents, must buy a meal plan, and Gold plans are required for university housing.
- Meal plans are selected when you apply for housing, and you can add one later if you didn’t choose one at the start.
- Gold plans are for residential students; Blue plans are for non-residential students.
- For 2026–27, Gold Unlimited + 300 RamPoints is $2,625 per semester and Gold 225 + 150 RamPoints is $2,325 per semester.
Parking and getting around
If you plan to bring a vehicle, you need to buy a campus parking permit before parking on campus. If you don’t have a car, the Ram Tram is free city bus transportation for Angelo State students, and you board with your ASU Mobile OneCard.

Fall 2026 move-in
Fall 2026 move-in is Wednesday, Aug. 19. Check-in times are tied to your floor: third floor 8–9 a.m., second floor 9–10 a.m., and first floor 10–11 a.m., with check-in at your assigned hall office or main lobby unless your hall has a specific location listed.
- Carr Hall and Centennial Village residents check in at the Centennial Village Seibel Commons building.
- Mary and Robert Massie Halls and Vanderventer Apartments check in at the Mary Massie main lobby.
- Plaza Verde check-in is at the Plaza Verde Clubhouse, and Texan Hall check-in is at the Texan Hall Community Room.
What’s included in the room
ASU says residence hall rooms come fully furnished with a Twin XL bed, desk, chair, and dresser. The school also says each room comes with a mini-fridge and microwave, so you should not bring those.
- Bring Twin XL bedding, a lamp, school supplies, laundry items, and a UL-rated surge protector.
- Do not bring candles, wax/oil warmers, kitchen appliances such as air fryers, or anything that would damage walls like hammer and nails.
- ASU suggests coordinating with your roommate before move-in so you do not pack the same toaster spirit twice.
