USF’s detailed Housing Policies limit a guest to no more than three nights in a 30-day period, require the host to escort guests, and prioritize residents’ study, sleep and privacy. A roommate may require a guest to leave. Do not treat three nights as a new allowance for each separate visit.

Get consent from every roommate before hosting and escort the guest in the residence hall. UTampa limits stays to three consecutive nights and 15 total nights per semester. Its ResidenceLifeFAQ also sets a maximum of two overnight guests per host at one time. Consent can be withdrawn; never lend a guest the student’s Spartan Card or room key.
