UT's Roommate Success guidance tells parents that, because of FERPA, residence-life staff cannot discuss the specifics of a student's roommate conflict unless the student has signed the appropriate waiver obtained through the Complex Coordinator. Staff can still explain general procedures. For billing, a student can separately grant eProxy access to a parent for housing-bill services.
