A cancellation request can be made, but fall 2026 penalties increase as move-in approaches.
UT's Fall 2026 Mooov-In guidance publishes a cancellation schedule: $300 on or before June 1, $500 after June 1, $1,000 after July 1, and $2,000 after August 1. The $300 prepayment is applied toward the penalty. The student must follow UT Housing's cancellation instructions; simply deciding not to move in does not erase the contract.
