How should I check whether a UTA apartment price is per apartment or per bed, and which dates it covers?

Read the rent column together with its note before comparing apartment costs. UTA's Apartments page separates monthly rent per apartment from monthly rent per bedroom. Note 2 describes the By Unit arrangement as a single leaseholder who may choose roommates and split expenses; any expense-sharing agreement is between the leaseholder and occupants. Note 3 describes monthly rates per bed, says other residents may be assigned to vacant bedrooms or beds, and says roommate matching is available in furnished apartment communities. The table labels its second rent column per bedroom, while Note 3 says per bed; do not assume a bedroom always means one billed bed. For example, the page describes Timber Brook as having two students share each room, and its table distinguishes shared and private prices. Confirm the occupancy and billing basis for the specific offer. These arrangements should not be treated as interchangeable. The same page has a 2026–27 Apartment Rates and Features heading, while Notes 2 and 3 say the displayed rates are effective August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026. Those dates conflict. Before budgeting or accepting an offer, ask UTA Housing to confirm the applicable rate period, the specific unit or bed being offered, the monthly charge and the total charge for your actual agreement dates. Use the Housing contact details on the official housing page for that confirmation.

What should I verify about a UTA apartment’s actual lease dates, minimum term and renewal?

Start with the agreement's actual beginning and ending dates and its minimum-term provision. Note 4 on UTA's Apartments page says residents must satisfy the minimum lease term outlined in the lease, and early termination is available only to residents who meet specific lease requirements. It also warns that a 12-month lease may not equal a full 12 months for a new resident. A term label therefore is not enough to plan your move-in, move-out or summer accommodation. The note says 12-month renewal leases are available for residents who want to stay after satisfying their minimum-term requirements. Before relying on continued occupancy, ask Housing to confirm the renewal terms that would apply to you, the process and timing, and whether the end of one agreement and start of the next leave any gap. Obtain the actual lease and any renewal offer, and use those documents to check the dates and early-termination conditions rather than assuming that a listed term or the possibility of renewal guarantees uninterrupted possession.

Which official UTA resources should I use to check a housing offer and a separate employee-benefit question?

Use UTA's Housing and Residence Life page to reach the university's housing application, tour information and Housing contacts. The page lists Housing at 817-272-2791 and Housing@uta.edu, and Apartment & Res Life at 817-272-2926 and livingoncampus@uta.edu. For an apartment offer, ask Housing to confirm the specific accommodation, who may occupy it, the applicable agreement and dates, and the charges before making plans. The linked Apartments page can help identify the rent and lease notes to discuss. Use the separate Employee Benefits page for the benefits side of an employment question. Its Benefits Overview describes UTA Benefits Services working with the UT System Office of Employee Benefits on benefits for eligible employees, retirees and dependents; it also provides benefit-program information and links. Ask the relevant benefits office to identify the particular program and its current eligibility rules for your situation. Treat a housing offer and an employment-benefit determination as separate matters that each require their own confirmation.
