ANSWER
A student should submit a Housing maintenance request for a non-emergency HVAC problem in USF Tampa housing, and use the emergency on-duty contact if the issue is urgent. Internet and phone problems go to USF IT instead, not Housing.

Compare homesHow to report it
For a non-emergency HVAC issue in USF Tampa housing, submit a Maintenance Request through USF Housing & Residential Education. The first time you use the system, you must register; after that, your contact information should pull up automatically.
- Sign in with your USF email, then NetID and password if prompted.
- Choose your residential area, building, and room, then select the problem type and add details.
- Save the request when finished; do not submit housing maintenance requests before arriving on campus.
If it’s an emergency
If the HVAC problem is part of an emergency maintenance issue such as water flooding or a building power outage, contact the RA on duty for your building. USF Housing also lists service desk contacts by residential area for emergency situations.
- USF Village students are directed to The Hub.
- North Campus students are directed to Holly M.
- South Campus students are directed to Juniper-Poplar Lobby.
What not to submit there
Do not use the housing maintenance request system for internet or phone issues. USF says those should go to the USF IT Help Desk or Campus Computing Help Desk instead.
- Housing maintenance is for room and building repair requests.
- Laundry machine issues go through the SQ app by scanning the machine’s QR code.
- If you are not in residential housing, non-emergency maintenance goes to the Facilities Service Center.
