Compare homesNon-emergency HVAC problems
Use the Housing Work Request system to report non-emergency facility issues in UGA housing. University Housing says residents should submit a work request online, and its work request page says to log in with MyID and password. If you have more than one maintenance issue, create a separate request for each one.
- Work request page: https://workrequest.housing.uga.edu/
- Regular business hours for housing work requests are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- For questions or changes to an existing work order, contact the Work Control Office at 706-542-3999 or hsgwork@uga.edu; the housing facilities page says they respond between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
HVAC emergencies
If the problem is no heat or no air conditioning, UGA Housing lists that as an emergency issue. Students should tell the 24-hour desk or contact the RA on call, and for maintenance emergencies outside regular business hours the work request page says to contact the community’s front desk for support.
- No heat and no air conditioning are listed as emergency issues.
- The emergency list also includes major water leaks, broken windows, and total power outage in a room or apartment.
- If the situation is police, fire, or ambulance/EMS related, call UGA Police at 706-542-2200.
What to include when reporting
When reporting an emergency, UGA says to give your name, phone number, location or address, and the nature and location of the emergency. For a non-emergency work request, use the online form and separate each maintenance issue into its own request.
- Name
- Phone number
- Location or address
- Nature and location of the problem
