California State University, Monterey Bay: Can parents and other family members visit the residence hall?
DIRECT ANSWER
Yes. Family members may visit, but the resident is responsible for the guest and must follow registration, roommate-consent and building-access rules.
CSUMB's 2026–27 Community Standards require prior roommate/suitemate approval for overnight guests and registration with SHRL. Residence buildings remain secured by student ID, so guests do not receive independent resident access.
