California State University, Monterey Bay: Is a meal plan required if my student lives in a Cal State Monterey Bay residence hall?

Yes for first-year residence-hall residents and students in Residence Halls or North Quad suites; some apartment communities have optional meal plans.
CSUMB requires a residential meal plan for Residence Halls and Pinnacles/Vineyard suites. Strawberry, Promontory and East Campus apartments do not require a plan under the 2026–27 rate table.
